Personally I think if it serves its purpose then it shouldn’t matter what it looks like even tho I don’t think it looks that bad, I mean it not guna win any competition lol.

that's odd that the evo didn't have a rear diffuser. I did see the under tunnel though!!

I sorta eluded to this in another post, but flat floor and diffuser is not always the best design when not constrained by rules requiring a flat floor based on my conversations with Andrew during the design phase as i had went in with the same initial impressions about a flat floor and rear diffuser.

Don't confuse my ability to not know what to say about that splitter and me thinking it's stupid or non functional.

Fenders in process of being modded. Beginning by opening up the venting.

And beginning to clean out the airpath on the rear

I see you have a nice proper workspace for working on the car.

    I feel your pain.

So. with kaizen having shut down back in January, I've had to find a new shop to work with for the fabrication work I'm not equipped to do. Luckily, one of my buddies works over at Turner Motorsports and I have started working with them. They will be helping out with some of the fabrication as well as helping me out with suspension setup. They actively compete in PWC and IMSA in multiple classes so their input will be invaluable to me. Got the evo up there now for some welding work to be done.

Got the evo back from Turner. Put in vanjen clamps in the turbo outlet and inlet and rerouted the upper IC piping for more clearance. Will be converting entire pipe setup over to vanjens as time allows but for now dealing with the most trouble prone areas. Also started cutting the rear bumper cover and relocated the ayc pump. Next up is to put a vband to on the exhaust to switch from muffled to unmuffled based on on track sound limits and heat shielding the firewall areas more thoroughly.

Also, the composites shop I'm working with has the full design plans and is currently reviewing them. So figure another couple weeks or so for them to get through any questions and what not for fabrication of it and going back and forth with Andrew on it.

Small update. Sent out the turbo, manifold and downpipe for inconel shields from ATP. So should get those back in about 2 weeks.

composite work has been scoped out at this point. Next up is setting timelines and scheduling it in for the work to begin which will pretty much be right after I finish up with the heatshielding and whatnot. ATP got the stuff done and out the door, just waiting on it to arrive this week

Approximate scope of work being done to give people an idea of what going into this project.

Got back the manifold and turbo from ATP. Excellent work as everyone else who's got their stuff stated. Skipped the downpipe as i may have a minor leak from the flex joint on it and would want to deal with that first before having them do shields for it.
