    800hp seems to be a decent reliability number on a built motor.

    Might as well throw $50-100 I a jar every time you do that for the replacement motor budget.
    What would be interesting is this case but with a dry sump, I bet if it’s built right it may last a decent amount of time, unless it’s me and then the broken valve would just destroy everything after 3k miles

    Spinning more than 10k is tricky even on a dry sump. It would take some engineering to avoid cavitation and would require the right volume versus pump speed. I'm not sure how high you could take it without valve float anyway.

    Some pneumatic valves might be the way for black e, get 1200 whp at 16k rpm. I guess you'd only need two or three gears.
