    Suspension Build/Upgrade

    I took the plunge and ordered a full suspension from RaceFab in NZ. All the parts they make:

    This stuff is light but well braced/gusseted. I guess they do all of it in chromoly now.

    The old parts are out of the car and I am now waiting for the Ohlins dampers to arrive. I had them custom valved for the stiffer spring rates I'll be running.

    I'm making TI bolts and other things along the way.

    The feed line for the oil pump is much improved with the extra room freed up by the new subframe.

    I suppose all suspension compliance is a thing of the past. There is no telling how it will do on the track, but I expect much more feedback.

    You're going to trailer the car to and from the track right? I couldn't imagine driving the car on public roads after this. Brutal.

    It wasn't the quietest car given the spring rates I was running. I have solid heim joints in my truck and they don't seem to matter much. But then again, it is an entirely different application.

    I'll have the springs next week, so should see things come together.
