    Os Giken Twin Plate MT071-BF5

Hey Guys im looking into this clutch kit for my new setup anyone have any experience with this exact one? The car is mostly a street, weekend, 1/2 mile car. I'm looking for something streetable and not a pain in the ass to drive in stop n go traffic if I ever get stuck in it. The new setup should make around 550trq. Who has this clutch? Do you like it? Dislikes? did you use the movement alteration kit? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    A couple things.

We are an OS Giken dealer.

I get rave reviews from all of our customers who run them. Don't think anybody in Utah is currently so haven't driven on one in a long time.

    Chet also likes them thoroughly.

The movement alternation kit is required. It's a just a fork-based mechanical push/pull conversion kit.

There is a MT071-BF5 in stock stateside but the movement alteration kit is not and would likely have to come from Japan.

    Ditto ^
Noisey the older it gets on normal take off. She squeals from time to time. Clutch pedal is effortless. And the engagement isn't an on-off switch so it's street-able. And of course clamps down when your ready to launch.

I've had mine for a few years. Would do again. The noise from the disks engaging (like high performance brake pads) gets tiresome some times. Usually goes away after a while when I drive it like I stole it and warm it up.

    Good clutch.

I don't think it comes with a clutch alignment tool though either. Ended up just paying the 80 bucks or what ever for the steel one. (Just the tip of your transmission input shaft)

I will need to hit you up this summer, I know a few locals here in Pitt (some notorious on Facebook, lol) run that clutch and love it.

So on an evo 8, but my thought is the same. Had the quartermaster and hated it. Put the triple disc os giken in and the thing feels so close to stock. Holds 800whp and 675wtq so far.

Still one in stock if somebody wants to support a vendor that actually does something for this platform.

The $450 alteration kit is REQUIRED so be skeptical of any pricing that seems too good to be true.
