    Truck life anyone ?

Show your Truck ! if you are into trucks

Here's my Tundra. I love this truck, maintenance is minimal and cheap. I haven't had any single issue with this vehicle. It has been to thru the whole midwest sun, snow, ice, rain etc... I don't plan to sell it, but if I do, is to buy another Toyota Truck.

I can manage 16's sometimes on the highway @55-60. On morning traffic is 13-14mpg's. 80% of the time I'm running Ethanol.

not new. but i just bought my parents old truck. 2012 ram 1500 5.7l.

needs some work. thing has 101k miles on it. ive done all maintanance. but still need to do:

    tranny filter and fluid
    diff fluid
    coolant flush
    brake rotors

but aside from that. this thing is awesome. cant wait to rip the muffler off and have it sounding like an actual V8 truck haha

My truck is in the shop getting body work and paint. I'll upload some pictures when I get it back.

I managed to find a company that makes caps that still had a mould for the 73-87 Chevy trucks. The cap arrived and it going to be painted as well.

I'm having a waving American flag airbrushed across the hood and front fenders as an accent. I want to be a true Merican. Believe me.

I bought a 2016 Dodge 1500 and I'm surprised how much I like it. Never been a truck guy but it's really nice. As soon as the warranty is up I'm dropping one of these in.

They have a nice sale going on for the 2017 ram. 0.0% interest and with the incentives comes down around 32k asking price. Not bad !!!

I was joking. I got the lifetime warranty so basically it'll stay stock forever.

What is a lifetime warrantee? Your lifetime? It seems hard to believe they would swap in a new engine when you show up with 450k miles on the truck.

Is that a supercharger on top there? If so, how could that tiny belt be enough to drive it? It is hard to tell from the picture, but is it a Gilmer belt?

dodge has decided to start selling the hell cat motor as a crate motor. for a mere $20k.. which sounds like a lot until you realize a full longblock from AMS cost just as much if not more hahaha

My truck life consists of a 01 Ram with the 5.2 that I bought for $600 to haul some stuff. It's a boat anchor.

I have a bumper to bumper warranty for as long as I (non transferable) own the truck. Regardless of mileage or time.

However you do wave the Magnuson-Moss protection so ANY modification can void the warranty.

Also yes you're right about the writeoff amount. If my 450,000 mile 1500 is only worth $6,000… they aren’t going to pay $8,000 to swap out a blown engine. They, at most, will cut me a $6,000 check and send the truck to the junkyard.
It's the 100,000-250,000 mile interval that I'm gambling on. Also if I sell it with 250k but it's been dealer warrantied until then it should raise the resale price. By how much I don't know but I would think it would help a bit.

I have the air suspension which I guarantee will crap out long before my truck is worthless and probably just after the standard warranty ends. I'm not too worried about the engine it's the rest of the truck I'm worried about. This is an FCA product after all.
