This one is just MOSTLY fake.
Be careful, the Evo 10 has the exact same thing on the drivers front, on the GSR

That is his point. It's made visually to look like a grill / vent, but it's not.

Get used to it, most new cars are doing that. Not sure why people bitch about that though, 99% of people don't touch the e-brake while the car is moving.
I was going to mention the evo x GSR has the same thing but could not remember since I have had fog deletes for ever haha.
Yeah, it was a stupid thing for Mitsu to do... I swapped mine out for the MR grille as soon as I found out it would fit on the GSR. Now I just want to do full fog deletes.
How is it stupid? You do realize that the passenger side is vented to allow airflow to the oil cooler, right?

I'll have to get a picture if I see it at the track. I thought it was great

lol yeah I know that's why it's vented, and I know the driver side on the MR is vented to allow air flow to the trans cooler. The fake vent on the GSR is stupid because I think all fake vents are stupid, hence why this whole conversation started. Mitsu probably did it to cut costs since the GSR doesn't have a trans cooler and technically doesn't need the airflow in the same area.

finally got the chance to experience one on a track making full usage of the R+ mode.

It is an unreal car that's for sure when put on a track. There where times I had to remind myself this thing is FWD. It is extremely smooth and stable with no understeer at all. Out of 27 cars at this event the Type R was In the top 3 for most of the day and eventually making it too the top number 1 by the end of the day. Alot of Sti and evos just could not keep up with it.

on the last run of the day they let us pile 4 people into the car to try and slow it down enough so people had a chance of beating it, even with 4 people in the car it only ran .4 seconds slower.

Not to burst any bubbles and I don't doubt the CTR is quick, but that is glorified autox.

So someone in my neighborhood bought a Type-R and I passed it today coming home from work. I didn't get a real close look at it; but, from what I saw in person it didn't look as ghey as expected l.

Huh, TIL (though I never looked)

It's still hard for me to wrap my head around how large cars have gotten these days

Well for everyone that thought the fake vents were hideous on the TypeR...

I present to you Mugen's Type R body kit. Unveiled at the 2018 Tokyo Auto Show

If this is what Mugen considers an upgrade, I think that explains all the ridiculous japanese styling we've been seeing on cars lately

I am good with it. Wouldn’t buy it but coming from the 8/9 I hated the x. Transition/change is difficult.

    Okay, yeah whatever.
